Former Indiana quarterback Connor Bazelak has signed a deal as a undrafted free agent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers according to CBS Sports

Scott Smith of the Buccaneers' official site also reported the news.

Bazelak, originally a four-star prospect out of Archbishop Alter HS in Dayton, Ohio, originally committed to and played for the Missouri Tigers before transferring to the Indiana Hoosiers for one season.

Connor Bazelak was the starter for the Hoosiers in 2022, finishing 235-of-426 (55 percent %) for 2,312 yards, 13 touchdowns and 10 interceptions over 10 games under former head coach Tom Allen.

He then transferred to Bowling Green, playing two seasons at Bowling Green. Bazelak was the starting quarterback leading the Falcons to a 13-11 record, throwing for 4,979 yards, 30 touchdowns and 15 interceptions.

In 2024, he was named to the All-Mid-American Conference (MAC) Third Team after throwing for over 3,000 yards, 18 touchdowns and only 5 interceptions.

The 6-foot-3, 225-pound quarterback threw for over 12,000 yards in six years of college football between Missouri, Indiana and Bowling Green.

Two-time Pro Bowl quarterback Baker Mayfield is entering his third season with Tampa Bay. The Buccaneers already have back ups to Mayfield, including Kyle Trask, who has been with the team since they drafted him in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft and former Tulane fifth round pick Michael Pratt.

Bazelak is likely to be used on the practice squad or will be a roster cut if he doesn't impress this summer.
