Bosnian/International guard Harun Zrno de-committed from the Indiana Hoosiers men's basketball program back in March when Indiana hired Darian DeVries. DeVries and his new staff did not reach out to Zrno causing him to find greener pastures. The new landing spot for Zrno is now the Rutgers Scarlett Knights.

The news was first reported by his agent, telling NJ Advance Media. He also visited Villanova, Miami Maryland, Creighton and Wisconsin before choosing the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

“I made this decision after the first call with (head coach Steve Pikiell), it was very easy to make this decision,” Zrno told NJ Advance Media. “This is the right place for me where I will have the opportunity to play and improve my game. I will bring a lot of work, energy and desire to win.”

He also received major interest from Georgia Tech, Gonzaga, Illinois and Kansas State.

Zrno who just turned 21 years old, played 14 games for KJ Slavija last season and averaged 17.5 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game, while shooting 50% from the field and 43.7% from three according to sofascore.

Adam Zagoria of ZagsBlog spoke with the small forward in early January after Zrno visited Assembly Hall on the Indiana campus.

"Everyone is looking at me as a shooter, but I bring a lot more than just shooting the ball," Zrno said. "I like to play defense hard, attack off the dribble, and find my teammates for easy plays. I learned how to play with the ball, and I like having the ball in my hands. Anything to do in order for my team to win the games."

The Sarajevo, Bosnia native will look to replace the production of superstars and future lottery picks Ace Bailey and Dylan Harper. Rutgers finished last season with a record of 15-17.

Darian DeVries just landed UNF forward Josh Harris in the transfer portal. Harris is the tenth transfer portal commitment for Indiana this off-season, joining Tucker DeVries, Conor Enright, Reed Bailey, Lamar Wilkerson, Jasai Miles, Tayton Conerway, Jason Drake, Sam Alexis, Nick Dorn
