Former Indiana forward, Lilly Meister has signed with the Kansas Jayhawks women's basketball program for the 2025-26 season after entering the transfer portal On3’s Talia Goodman reported Monday afternoon.
Lilly Meister played 96 games for the Indiana Hoosiers over a span of three seasons. Meister started in 18 games, averaging 6.7 points and 3.5 rebounds during her Hoosiers career under head coach Teri Moren.
Meister averaged 11.8 points and 5.1 rebounds in the first 13 games of the season, including three games where she scored 20 points consecutively. During conference play her productivity fell off Moren criticized her lack of stamina and re-surgence of Karoline Striplin for the fall off late in the season.
Meister's best performance of the season came on November 7th, scoring 20 points, and posting 15 rebounds in 34 minutes of action.
The Rochester, Minnesota native earned Academic All-Big Ten honors for the 2023-24 season.
Kansas head coach Brandon Scheinder had this to say about Meister heading to Lawrence, Kansas
We've had a relationship with Lilly dating back to her initial high school recruiting process," Schneider said. "Her size and skill set will fill a much-needed role in our program. She is a frontline player who will excel in the pick and roll game, while also providing shooting and versatility away from the rim. We believe that she pairs extremely well with both our returners and incoming players. Lilly brings experience competing at the highest level and being part of a winning culture is very important to her."
Kansas was 16-14 in 2025 and finished 11th in the Big 12 Conference. The Jayhawks also made the NCAA Tournament in 2022 and 2024.
Meister will have one year of eligibility left at Kansas.
