Sporting Kansas City announced today that the club has signed 23-year-old defender Jansen Miller, who in December was selected in the first round of MLS SuperDraft 2025. Miller has signed an MLS contract for the 2025 season with club option years in 2026, 2027 and 2028 this statement was released per Sporting KC's website.
The former Indiana Hoosiers All-Big Ten Conference defender was taken eighth overall in the SuperDraft on Dec. 20, 2024.

The Ballwin, Missouri native started his career at Xavier (Ohio), where he spent four seasons. Miller played 77 total matches in four college years, with 27 appearances (26 starts).
His career really took off when he transferred to Indiana, where he would spend to years. At Indiana he played in 50 games (40 starts) for the Hoosiers from 2022-2024. He was a Second-Team All-Big Ten selection in 2024 as a sixth year senior.
Miller was not the only Indiana men's soccer player drafted in the 2025 MLS SuperDraft, as senior forward Sam Sarver and sophomore forward Collins Oduro were selected in the second round.
The Sporting KC season kicks off Tuesday, tomorrow at 8 p.m. ET with a showdown against international superstar Lionel Messi and Inter Miami CF in Round One of the Concacaf Champions Cup at Children’s Mercy Park.
