Former Indiana Hoosiers guard Xavier Johnson has signed with Portland Trailblazers G-League affiliate the Rip City Remix.

In 20 games played for the Indiana Hoosiers during the 2023-24 season, Johnson averaged 7.6 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.8 assists, 0.5 steals while shooting 36.7 percent from three.

He played for the Pittsburgh Panthers from 2018-2021, then Indiana from 2022-2024.

Johnson was un drafted in 2024 and worked out for the Indiana Pacers and Memphis Grizzles before eventually being signed by the Memphis Hustle.

Earlier this season while Johnson played for the Memphis Hustle he appeared in 11 games and averaged 7.2 points, 5.4 assists, and 2.5 rebounds in 21.1 minutes per game.  He also shot 32.9% from the field and 26.7% from three.

Let’s hope Xavier makes the most of this chance with the Trailblazers to show how he can contribute to an NBA franchise.
