Former Hoosier Nick Westbrook-Ikhine Scores in fourth straight game
Former Indiana Hoosiers wide reciever, Nick Westbrook-Ikhine had his best performance of the season as he recorded five receptions (on six targets) for 50 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 17-14 overtime win against the Patriots.
Sunday's game marked the fourth-straight week that Westbrook-Ikhine scored a touchdown. His involvement was pretty solid overall, and it's clear that he benefits from Mason Rudolph starting over Will Levis in Tennessee's offense and the trade involving DeAndre Hopkins to the Kansas City Cheifs.
The fifth-year receiver has only missed seven games over the last five seasons after joining the Titans as an undrafted free agent out of Indiana in 2020. Westbrook-Ikhine has been a reliable option for the Titans over the years.
"A buddy of mine showed me one of your tweets about how I'm like a Honda Accord," Westbrook-Ikhine said, referring to a tweet from ESPN's Turron Davenport. "I'm just trying to be Mr. Reliable. It might not look pretty but it'll get you from A to B. That's what I'm here for man. Just get us from A to B and get the win."
The Lake Mary (FL) native appeared in 52 games with 36 starts and totaled 144 receptions for 2,226 yards with 16 touchdowns over four seasons at Indiana.
