As reported in December former Indiana Hoosier and Georgia Southern Eagle quarterback Dexter Williams II entered the transfer portal per WTOC.com
Williams II has now found as a home as he stays home in Georgia, transferring to Kennesaw State. The senior quarterback appeared in four games for Indiana under Tom Allen where he completed 13 passes on 38 attempts for 184 yards and two touchdowns with two interceptions in four seasons.
He then transferred to Georgia Southern, where Williams played in four games where Williams completed 19 passes on 30 attempts for 248 yards with three touchdowns. He also ran for 45 yards and a touchdown behind starting quarterback JC French
The redshirt senior from Macon (GA) who attended Mount de Sales Academy has one year of eligibility remaining but possibly could receive another year of eligibility due to medical hardship after two major knee surgeries (torn acl) at Indiana.
The former Hoosier will battle for the starting spot with Khalib Johnson, Davis Bryson and Lucas Sheerhorn.
As for Indiana they have secured their quarterback situation landing for Cal Golden Bears quarterback Fernando Mendoza. Mendoza threw for 3,004 passing yards, 16 TDs, 6 INTs on 69.0 comp %. He will fill an immediate need at quarterback and has two years of eligibility remaining.
