Division II star Elyjah Freeman could be moving up to Power 4 Basketball in 2025-26

Lincoln Memorial Harrogate (TN) forward Elyjah Freeman has been offered by Darian DeVries and the Indiana Hoosiers coaching staff this off-season as IU tries to bolster their depleted roster.

Freeman started in 31 career games at Lincoln Memorial College averaging 18.9 points, 8.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.7 steals in 30.9 minutes per game. Freeman also shot 58.7 percent from the field, 45.6 percent from the point land and shot 80.7 percent from the free throw line.

The 6-foot-8 freshman won South Atlantic Conference Freshman of the Year and first-team all-league and defensive honors.

Freeman also has offers including UCF, Chattanooga, Kentucky, Tennessee and Michigan.

Freeman is currently ranked as the No. 5 overall transfer and No. 1 small forward in the portal by247Sports. He attended Wellington High School in Palm Beach, Fla. as a member of the 2024 class.

Indiana currently has no front court players projected on the 2025-26 roster.

Freeman has three years of eligibility remaining.
