The 2025 TIAA Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament is right around the corner, as it is just a little over a month away. With the expansion of the Big Ten this season adding four new teams, Oregon, Washington, USC, and UCLA, the tournament looks a little different this year.
The Big Ten is looking like a top conference in college basketball this year, competing with the SEC and Big 12, who also have serious powerhouses competing. With now 18 teams in the conference this year, only 15 will make it to the Big Ten Tournament, a bit of a chance from seasons past. More teams mean a little different seeding, as well.
The Top 15 teams in the Big Ten will move on and be seeded based on their final regular season record. The top four seeds will get a double bye, and the top nine teams will get a first-round bye.

The 2024 Big Ten Tournament Champion Illinois Fighting Illini will look to defend their crown this season in the 2025 tournament. The winner of the tournament will receive an automatic bid in the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
