The final Associated Press college football Top 25 poll for the 2024 season has been dropped this morning, after Ohio State defeated Notre Dame in the national title game, 34-23.
The Indiana Hoosiers finished at No. 10 in the final Associated Press Top 25 college football poll of the season released Tuesday morning, after ending the season with an 11-2 record.
The only losses Indiana suffered came to Ohio State and Notre Dame, the two teams that met for the national title game last night in Atlanta. Ohio State finished No.1 and Notre Dame finished No. 2 on the season.
This 2024 season marks the third time in program history that the Hoosiers ended the season in the top ten of the AP Poll rankings, 1945 and 1967 were the other two.
On Monday, 247Sports released its way-too-early top 25 rankings and ranked the Hoosiers at No. 23.
On3 Sports college football analysts Andy Staples and Ari Wasserman released their top 25 for the 2025 season and IU came in 23rd in their poll as well.
The Hoosiers return the follwing players for the 2025 season: Elijah Sarratt, Omar Cooper Jr, Carter Smith, Aiden Fisher, Mikail Kamara, D'Angelo Ponds and Amare Ferrell.
They also added huge impact transfers in Fernando Mendoza, Hosea Wheeler, Dominique Ratcliff, Tyler Morris and Kahlil Benson who played at IU previously before heading to Colorado.
