Indiana basketball and college hoops fans can rejoice, EA Sports confirmed return of college basketball video game this week. It'll be the first since 2009's NCAA Basketball 10.

“Bring the Madness. Let’s run it back. #CBB #ItsInTheGame,” EA Sports tweeted.

“There’s nothing like College Sports,” another one of its accounts tweeted.

Electronic Arts regularly released college basketball games from 1998 to 2009, with the NCAA March Madness series from 1998 to 2007, and theNCAA Basketball series from 2008 to 2009.

Since the massive release of College Football 25 and the implementation of things such as NIL, the market has shown that there is a massive appetite for college sports in video games. And when it comes to college sports, few things (if any) are better than March Madness.

EA will not use the NCAA branding for its new college basketball game given the company also parted ways with the NCAA for its football series, but nothing is confirmed yet. EA and the NCAA stopped working together years ago due to multiple legal and financial reasons.

EA's College Basketball game not projected to be released until 2028.

So Hoosier fans and college basketball lovers everywhere, mark your calendars—2028 is when you’ll hit the hardwood again and prove who’s the ultimate champ. The countdown is on—are you ready to play?
