Indiana Hoosiers football has missed out on elite four-star 2026 cornerback recruit in surprise announcement on this Saturday evening.
Toledo (Ohio) Central Catholic four-star cornerback Victor Singleton has committed to Brett Bielema and Illinois, per On3βs Hayes Fawcett.
Singleton selected Illinois over schools such as; Ohio State, Indiana, Texas A&M, Kentucky, Iowa, Oregon, Michigan, Penn State, Tennessee and many others.

The Ohio State Buckeyes were on the inside track to land one of their top targets in the class of 2026 and the heavy favorites but Singleton chose Illinois ultimately.
The 6 foot 0, 160 pound cornerback is the No. 65 overall player from the 2026 class, No. 6 cornerback and second best player in the state of Ohio per 247Sports composite
Indiana did land three different highly rated recruits at cornerback for the 2025 class including Jaylen Bell, Seaonta Stewart Jr, and Zacharey Smith and also bring back a loaded secondary room including D'Angelo Ponds, Devan Boykin, Jah'Jah Boyd, Amari Knighten and Ryland Gandy.
Indiana currently has zero commits from the class of 2026 but has major offers from players like; QB Anthony Coellner, RB's Favour Akih and CJ Givers, LB Storm Miller, CJ Sanna and linebakcer Jakobe Clapper.
