In his three seasons on the court for the Hoosiers, Walt Bellamy was a star. He averaged over 20 points for his career and hit the ground running in the NBA after being taken first overall by the Chicago Packers. Bellamy averaged 31.6 points and 19.0 rebounds as a rookie and the 6-foot-11 center was named the NBA’s Rookie of the Year.

Bellamy made the All-Star game in each of his first four seasons, but he never averaged over 30 points again. His rookie year was his best, but over 14 seasons, Bellamy put together a Hall of Fame career and was inducted in 1993.
