#1. Trayce Jackson-Davis needs to be a frontrunner for NPOY

It doesn’t look like there is any college basketball player that is playing better than Trayce Jackson-Davis.

The senior forward posted 25 points, 21 rebounds, and six blocks in 39 minutes against the Gophers last night, including multiple blocks late in the game that kept the Hoosiers afloat and the game-winning offensive rebound and put back with 43 seconds left in the game.

Anchoring the defense is something I’ve been waiting to see from Jackson-Davis, which he has really done well in this four-game stretch.

During this four-game winning streak for Indiana basketball, Trayce Jackson-Davis is averaging 27.3 points, 14.3 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 4.8 blocks. That’s some next-level play from a guy that’s competing and going against the toughest defenses in the country in the Big Ten.

Aside from Zach Edey (Purdue), there is no other player in the country that is playing better basketball than Trayce Jackson-Davis right now. Will he continue this play when it matters most? February 4th against Purdue in Assembly Hall is going to be a FUN game!
