1. Brice Sensabaugh – Freshman Guard/Forward – #10

2022-23 stats: 20 GP, 11 GS, 23.9 MIN, 17.4 PPG, 5.5 REB, 50.6 FG%, 2.1 3PM, 46.7 3P%

I’ll tell you one thing, I did not expect Brice Sensabaugh to come in as a freshman at Ohio State and lead the team in scoring and be a frontrunner for freshman of the year in college hoops.

During this stretch where the Buckeyes have lost six of seven games, Sensabaugh has eclipsed 30 minutes just once and is averaging 20.0 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 2.1 made three-pointers per game. My guess is that Sensabaugh has not been to blame for these losses.

The 6-foot-6 freshman had one of his best games in a huge win against Iowa on January 21, posting 27 points on 10-of-12 shooting, 4-of-5 from deep, and five rebounds in 27 minutes of action.

I would assume that Miller Kopp will draw the assignment on Sensabaugh, a 6-foot-6, 235-pound linebacker for a guard/forward in college hoops. Jalen Hood-Schifino may see time against him and honestly Trey Galloway could bother him a bit too, but it’ll be a total team effort to slow down Sensabaugh on Saturday night in Bloomington.
