Does Trayce Jackson-Davis continue his All-American play tonight?
Trayce Jackson-Davis has been playing like an All-American for Indiana basketball over his last two games, earning impressive player of the week honors for his performances.
Last week against Illinois in Champaign Jackson-Davis posted 35 points, nine rebounds, five assists, and three blocks, then followed it up with a 31-point game, 15 rebounds, four assists, and five blocks against Michigan State in Assembly Hall.
A two-game stretch where an Indiana basketball player averages 33.0 points, 12.0 rebounds, 4.5 assists, and 4.0 blocks against Big Ten opponents is almost unheard of. My guess is that (without doing research) DJ White is probably the closest to accomplishing such a feat in a two-game stretch.
In Jackson-Davis’ first career game against the Golden Gophers, he went into The Barn and posted 27 points on 11-for-15 shooting from the field and 16 rebounds in a win for the Hoosiers. Believe it or not, Trayce Jackson-Davis is undefeated against Minnesota in his career, despite only averaging 13.5 points and 8.5 rebounds in his last two games.
Check out TJD’s highlights from his freshman year (back when he rocked #4) against the Golden Gophers in Minneapolis:

Will Trayce Jackson-Davis’s back get a bit sore from carrying this Hoosiers team over the past three games? Do any other role players step up to the plate for Indiana in a trap game against Minnesota?
