The sixth-year senior from Plymouth, Minnesota returns home for one last college basketball game as Race Thompson and Indiana basketball hopes to show out against Minnesota.

After returning for the Michigan State game on Sunday from a four-game absence, Thompson logged just four minutes of action and only managed to record one steal and three personal fouls in his time on the floor.

While it was an underwhelming return for Thompson, any sight of him on the floor for Indiana basketball is a very welcoming sight for February and March as the Hoosiers hope to extend their Big Ten winning streak to four games tonight in Minneapolis.

Of course, this comes with a bittersweet moment for the sixth-year senior that attended Armstrong High School in Minnesota, who will be playing in the final hometown college basketball game of his career on Wednesday night, in front of what he says is “50-60 family and friends” who will be in attendance.

"“It definitely means a little bit more to me. I want to win. Never want to lose to the hometown team”, Thompson said in his media availability."

Race Thompson has played the Golden Gophers six times throughout his years for Indiana basketball and three games at The Barn. In those three games in Minneapolis, Thompson is averaging just 6.3 points and 7.0 rebounds, with a record of 2-1 in those road games.
