Playing in his 15th NBA season in 2022-23, Eric Gordon is paired up with a ton of young talent around him with the Houston Rockets. Believe it or not, Gordon is averaging a career-low in scoring and his lowest three-pointers made per game in a season since 2013-14.

After just one season spent in Bloomington with Indiana basketball, Gordon was selected seventh overall by the Los Angeles Clippers in the 2008 NBA Draft and averaged 16.1 points in 34.3 minutes per game in his rookie season and finished fifth in voting for the NBA Rookie of the Year award, behind Derrick Rose, O.J. Mayo, Brook Lopez, and Russell Westbrook.

Gordon’s best career season came in 2010-11, averaging 22.3 points and 4.4 assists on 36.4 percent shooting from beyond the arc and 1.3 steals.

There are rumors circling the NBA community that Gordon will be on his way out of Houston soon and it seems as though a trade is very likely to happen in favor of both Gordon and the Rockets organization. Hopefully, Gordon can find a home where he’s competing in the playoffs with a championship-caliber team.

Though he’s having a down season shooting the ball overall, Eric Gordon has been a staple in All-Star weekend, specifically winning the 2017 Three-Point Contest going up against Kyrie Irving.
