Battle missed the Golden Gophers’ first four games of the season and Minnesota looked lost despite going 3-1 with narrow wins over Western Michigan and Central Michigan and a loss to DePaul.

Since returning to action, Battle has logged just two 20-point performances and just doesn’t look the same as he did in his sophomore campaign for Minnesota last season. Battle led the team in scoring and rebounding last season, averaging 17.5 points and 6.8 rebounds and shooting 36.6 percent from beyond the arc.

This season, Battle has just looked off. Whether it’s the addition of Dawson Garcia or the loss of his running mate Payton Willis, Battle is hoping for an opportunity to get back on track and lead this Gophers team to a big home win on Wednesday.
