#5. Turnovers are still an issue

To be quite honest, this game could’ve been a 25-point blowout if it weren’t for the 17 turnovers and 20-9 foul disparity on Thursday night in Champaign.

Of those 17 turnovers by the Hoosiers, eight of them were committed by Trayce Jackson-Davis and Jalen Hood-Schifino, which makes the most sense because they had the balls in their hands most of the game. Hood-Schifino had just one turnover in the second half but was part of two of the 10-second violations that occurred.

Luckily for the Hoosiers, the 17 turnovers turned into just 18 points for Illinois, which could’ve been closer to 25 to 30 which puts them right back into the game. The foul disparity is just confusing. 20-9 in favor of the Illini and 23-13 free throw attempts in favor of the Illini. Again, luckily for Indiana, Illinois shot just 9-for-23 from the free throw line, but nevertheless, something isn’t adding up.
