2. A.J. Hoggard – Junior Guard – #11

2022-23 stats: 18 GP, 30.2 MIN, 12.6 PPG, 6.3 AST, 2.6 TOV, 0.6 3PM, 26.8 3P%

Hoggard posted 16 points, seven assists, three rebounds, a steal, and four turnovers against No. 23 Rutgers on Thursday, and shot 4-for-10 from the field and 3-for-5 from deep. The junior guard was all over the floor and filled up the stat sheet. He seems to be gaining more and more trust from Coach Izzo as the season drags on.

In his last game against the Hoosiers, Hoggard had his best game with 14 points on 4-for-6 shooting from three-point range, to go along with four rebounds and eight assists in a win for the Spartans. Prior to that game, Hoggard totaled zero points in 21 total minutes played in his previous two games against Indiana basketball.

Hoggard is a huge part of this Michigan State team and will be right in the thick of things for Tom Izzo’s team and will be key to hone in on.
