#3. Jalen Hood-Schifino‘s mid-range jumper is pure

I honestly cannot remember the last time I’ve witnessed a freshman point guard with a more pure mid-range jump shot than what we’ve seen from Jalen Hood-Schifino this season.

Yes, he’s had his off-shooting nights, as every college basketball player does, but the confidence and ease of his mid-range pull-up jump shot is something that is actually quite rare in today’s game, that someone like Mike Woodson probably loves to see.

One player that comes to mind when seeing Hood-Schifino’s mid-range game at the college level is Kemba Walker, who was very undersized at the point guard position for UConn back in the late 2010s. But if you can remember that far, a guy like Walker who shot 47.1 percent from the field in his junior season, led the Huskies to a National Championship in 2011, thanks to that pull-up game from inside the arc.
