#5. Jordan Geronimo finally shows what he’s capable of doing on a nightly basis
In his season-high 29 minutes of action, Jordan Geronimo filled the stat sheet with 12 points on 5-for-10 shooting from the field, 11 rebounds, one block, and just one turnover. It’s just Geronimo’s second career double-double and his first such against a major conference opponent.
I honestly believe that Geronimo has the ability to block every shot he contests, but there comes to a point where he doesn’t need to. Contesting shots without jumping is very effective, and if it helps the team’s defense as a whole, that’s what needs to be prioritized.
Geronimo was out on the floor during the important times and probably had his second-best game as a Hoosier, the first being his 15-point game off the bench against Wyoming in the NCAA Tournament First Four games.
