#1. There has to be some sort of change in this Indiana basketball program

Many Indiana basketball fans noticed what I noticed out on the floor, and that was that the Hoosiers looked completely unprepared against Penn State on Wednesday night.

The Nittany Lions shot 18-for-31 from beyond the arc, which is completely out of anyone’s control when a team gets hot like that, but for a team that has that type of ability and has already shown that during the season (18 3PM against Winthrop and 16 3PM against Loyola Maryland), how are you defensively not ready to guard the three?

Indiana players were over-helping on drives to the rim and leaving two of the best shooters in the Big Ten (Seth Lundy and Andrew Funk) wide open from three-point range for most of the game. The two of them also hit some unreal shots with good defense, but it’s the defense to start that hurt Indiana.

I don’t know if it’s the coaching staff, players not listening, bad scouting, or just overall bad execution. But if things don’t change now for Indiana basketball, we’ll be lucky to see an invite to the NIT come March.
