#1. Jalen Hood-Schifino thrives in his first Big Ten game and notches another career-high in points

In seven of his 10 games played this season, the freshman from Pittsburgh has improved and notched a career-high in points, starting at seven points in his first college game and most recently scoring 18 points in the Hoosiers’ last game against Kennesaw State on December 23.

Running the offense and taking on the bulk of the responsibility at point guard since Xavier Johnson was ruled out indefinitely has put pressure on Hood-Schifino, but it doesn’t seem like it’s anything he can’t handle.

Hood-Schifino will show up on the road in his first Big Ten game with at least 19 points (another career high) and five or more assists, getting the ball to Trayce Jackson-Davis when needed and dishing to open shooters to pull away from the Hawkeyes.
