#2. Jalen Hood-Schifino continues to improve game-by-game

Over Hood-Schifino’s last seven games, he’s averaging just 12.8 points on 44.6 percent shooting from the field and 43.5 percent from beyond the arc, 4.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists, but also is averaging 3.6 turnovers in 29.1 minutes per game.

The freshman standout has continued to show his improvement each game and has added another career-high in points in Friday’s game against Kennesaw State, posting 18 points on 6-for-8 shooting and 5-for-6 from the charity stripe. Along with his career-high, Hood-Schifino added four rebounds, three assists, and three turnovers in 32 minutes.

With all of the ball handling and point guard duties falling onto Hood-Schifino’s shoulders with Xavier Johnson out indefinitely, the five-star freshman has a chance to show what he’s capable of as the Hoosiers head into conference play.
