Indiana’s Miller Kopp (12) /

#4. Miller Kopp is becoming a leader on & off the floor, thanks to his improved overall play

Kopp finished Tuesday’s contest with 13 points on 4-for-9 shooting from the field and 3-for-8 from deep in 27 minutes of action. Though he wasn’t shooting particularly well from deep, Kopp’s ability to do more than just catch-and-shoot has become a weapon for Indiana basketball.

His leadership and experience on the floor are seemingly unmatched by any other player, especially when the Hoosiers are missing senior guard Xavier Johnson and senior forward, Trayce Jackson-Davis.

After the game, Kopp was part of the post-game press conference alongside freshman guard, CJ Gunn, and along with saying his phrase of the night, he had this to say about Gunn and him waiting for his time to shine:

"“… one of his goals, and he’ll tell you, is just to get on the floor and get in the rotation. Really every day in practice he plays hard as ever. He talks, he’s trying to do the right things. Yes, there are mess-ups, but at the same time, it all comes from a good place, and he’s doing things at a thousand miles an hour.” “At the end of the day, as a guy who’s been here for a while in college, it makes me happy to see a guy like CJ work so hard and continue to do things the right way because eventually it’s going to build up, and he’ll see the benefits for sure.”"

That’s a senior leader, on and off the floor. Props to you, Miller Kopp.
