#5. Race Thompson looked unstoppable against the smaller frontcourt for Elon

In 30 minutes of action as the primary big man on the floor due to Trayce Jackson-Davis sitting out, Thompson posted his first double-double of the season, with 18 points and 11 rebounds on 9-for-13 shooting and added four blocks to his line.

The frontcourt duo of Sam Sherry and John Bowen III could not do anything to stop Thompson, as he was hitting his floaters, taking his time in the post, and finishing through contact. Of course, this is all against a not-so-talented Elon team, but Thompson’s attitude and mindset of ‘get me the ball in the post and let me work’ is something we haven’t seen much this year.
