2. Max Mackinnon – Freshman Guard/Forward – #3

2022-23 stats: 12 GP, 29.2 MIN, 10.8 PPG, 5.0 REB, 2.2 AST, 1.3 STL, 25.0 3P%, 68.4 FT%

The freshman guard/forward has come on strong for the Phoenix this season, leading Elon in scoring in two games this season coming from Australia and playing for the Brisbane Bullets in the NBL, Mackinnon has the experience against real competition.

Mackinnon already has two 20-point games this season, including a career-high 24-point performance against High Point, which is probably the best team the Phoenix have played this season.

In his five road games this season, Mackinnon is averaging 13.4 points on 50.9 percent shooting, along with 5.6 rebounds and 3.4 assists. He’s impacting the game at all levels offensively, but also seems to do enough defensively to earn more minutes. Watch out for this freshman to have no fear in Assembly Hall on Tuesday night.
