Indiana basketball holds steady at No. 14 in the Week 6 AP Top 25 poll after defeating Nebraska at home and falling to Arizona in Las Vegas.

The Hoosiers were the only team in the top 25 to not drop in rankings this week, with No. 1 Houston falling to No. 5, No. 2 Texas dropping to No. 7, No. 11 Auburn plummeting to No. 19, No. 13 Maryland drowning to No. 20, along with No. 20 Iowa State, No. 21 Creighton, and No. 22 San Diego State all falling out of the rankings.

Indiana basketball has moved up as the second-highest-ranked team in the Big Ten, with Purdue rising to No. 1. Maryland moved down from No. 13 to No. 20 after two losses this week (@ Wisconsin and No. 7 Tennessee). Joining Purdue, Indiana, and Maryland in the top 25 are Illinois (No. 18), Wisconsin (No. 22), and Ohio State (No. 23).

Every team in the Week 5 Top 25 polls moved at least one spot beside the Hoosiers. The highest riser this week was Mississippi State (No. 23 to No. 17) and the biggest faller was Auburn (No. 11 to No. 19).

The most disappointing part of this week’s AP polls is the fact that Purdue rose to the No. 1 spot after barely scraping by Nebraska in overtime and beating Hofstra by 19. Personally, I believe UConn or Virginia deserved the No. 1 spot over Purdue for this week.

It is officially official that No. 14 Indiana basketball will be traveling to Lawrence to face off with No. 8 Kansas on Saturday at 12 PM EST on ESPN. Game on!
