#3. Race Thompson showed why he’s the “glue guy” for Indiana basketball

In a game where Trayce Jackson-Davis cannot do much and the Hoosiers are missing their second-best player in Jalen Hood-Schifino, someone needed to step up, and one of those guys was the Hoosiers’ glue guy, Race Thompson.

Thompson played 28 minutes and registered 16 points on 42.9 percent shooting from the field, nine rebounds, and one steal, along with knocking down a career-high four three-pointers on seven attempts from beyond the arc.

Prior to this matchup, Thompson was shooting just 16.7 percent (3-for-18) from deep, which was evident from how Arizona’s bigs were playing him defensively, basically daring him to shoot the ball. It helped Indiana a ton, but it wasn’t enough because of the offensive firepower from Arizona.
