Indiana’s Xavier Johnson (0) /

#3. Xavier Johnson is playing like he hasn’t played 127 career college games

Over his last two games, Johnson has totaled 13 turnovers against Rutgers and Nebraska. His 13 turnovers in a two-game span are the most by an Indiana Hoosiers player since Verdell Jones had 13 turnovers in two games in November 2010.

Johnson has looked like a lost puppy out on the floor, sprinting around the floor, throwing up contested shots and layups, and handling the ball very loose, it’s almost like he doesn’t remember that he is a guard with 127 college games under his belt, including 91 career games against major conference teams.

Until Jalen Hood-Schifino returns from his back injury, it seems as though it’s time to let Trey Galloway or Tamar Bates handle the ball-handling responsibilities and move Johnson off the ball, just to give me more freedom and less responsibility. Heck, maybe let Trayce Jackson-Davis run the offense and maybe he can flirt with a triple-double every game.
