#1. Jalen Hood-Schifino returns from his back soreness and proves his worth to this Hoosiers’ team

For the first time this season, Jalen Hood-Schifino was not out there leading the Hoosiers offense due to back spasms and soreness. It was clear as day on his face how disappointed he was that he wasn’t out on the court, but his long-term health is most important for himself and the Hoosiers.

After scoring a career-high 14 points in a marquee matchup against No. 18 North Carolina last Wednesday, Hood-Schifino will return to the court for the first Big Ten game of his career.

Xavier Johnson tried to do WAY too much on Saturday, which showed with his six turnovers and 2-for-11 shooting. With Hood-Schifino back in the lineup, the energy and calmness for Indiana basketball on both ends of the floor gets re-established and the Hoosiers thrive in Assembly Hall.

JHS finishes with at least 10 points and five assists in less than 30 minutes of action, trying to keep him as healthy as possible for the upcoming matchups against No. 10 Arizona and No. 6 Kansas.
