No. 14 Indiana basketball played their worst basketball of the season thus far on Saturday on the road versus Rutgers. Can they rebound against Nebraska?

The only player that was a true standout in the game against Rutgers on Saturday was senior forward, Miller Kopp, who went off for a season-high 21 points on 5-for-9 shooting from deep.

Aside from that, every other Hoosier played with a lack of energy and toughness that was apparent on the court. Wednesday, Indiana basketball has a chance to silence the doubters with a dominant win and hope to stay undefeated at home.

Here are my three bold predictions for No. 14 Indiana taking on the Nebraska Cornhuskers on Wednesday in Assembly Hall:

#3. The Hoosiers offense explodes for 85+ points and 12+ made threes

In the conference opener against Rutgers on Saturday, Indiana basketball managed just 48 points on 30.4 percent shooting from the field and 6-for-25 from three-point range. In the game prior against No. 18 North Carolina, the Hoosiers scored 77 points on 50.0 percent shooting and 3-for-13 from three.

The 48 points scored by the Hoosiers on Saturday is the fewest points logged by an Indiana team in conference play since IU dropped a game against No. 15 Purdue at home, 48-46, on February 19, 2019.

Indiana has not scored 85+ points in a conference game since scoring 87 against Penn State on December 30, 2020, and has not knocked down 12 or more three-pointers in a conference game since February 17, 2018, against Iowa (14 3PM).

Is it seeming like Wednesday’s contest against Nebraska will be the rebound game the Hoosiers need before traveling to Las Vegas to take on No. 10 Arizona?
