#3. Trayce Jackson-Davis can only do so much when getting double-teamed on every touch

The Preseason Big Ten Player of the Year had a not-so-impressive performance on Saturday in the Hoosiers’ first conference game of the season. Jackson-Davis totaled just 13 points and 10 rebounds on 5-for-11 from the field in 35 minutes. TJD fouled out for the first time in his college career on Saturday, which further proves the agenda by the referees in this game.

Unfortunately, but not surprisingly, Jackson-Davis was double-teamed every single time he got a post touch by the Scarlet Knights’ defense. If TJD didn’t go try to score immediately when he touched the ball, he had no chance of scoring, especially with the physicality that the referees did not allow.

The fact that TJD finished in double figures is very surprising when he did not have a made field goal until after half time and he struggled from the free throw line as well. Jackson-Davis needs to step up and rebound (literally and figuratively) against Nebraska on Wednesday.
