No. 10 Indiana basketball travels to Piscataway, New Jersey for their first Big Ten game of the season after falling to Rutgers last season at home.

The Hoosiers are looking for their first road win against the Scarlet Knights since beating them 65-43 on February 5, 2018. Since Trayce Jackson-Davis committed to Indiana and stepped foot on campus in Bloomington, Indiana basketball has not beaten Rutgers, losers of five straight games.

Jackson-Davis and the new-and-improved Hoosiers have a huge shot to shut things down in Piscataway on Saturday after a showtime win over No. 18 North Carolina on Wednesday in Bloomington.

Don’t sleep on these Scarlet Knights, though!

Here are my three bold predictions for No. 10 Indiana traveling to Piscataway to take on a sneaky talented Scarlet Knights squad on Saturday:

Three predictions for No. 10 Indiana basketball @ Rutgers:

Indiana basketball
Indiana’s Miller Kopp (12)

#3. Miller Kopp knocks down 4 three-pointers after getting playing time taken away by Trey Galloway

In 17 minutes of action against the Tr Heels on Wednesday, the senior sharpshooter totaled just two points on one shot attempt, three rebounds, one assist, and a steal, with most of his minutes being given to Trey Galloway (23 minutes off the bench).

It’s not to say that Kopp wasn’t shooting the ball well on Wednesday, it’s more about him not taking his open shots when he had a couple of chances, along with just not making a significant impact offensively or defensively.

Kopp responds to back-to-back lackluster performances and hopes to get a chance to shine in the press conference again with a “random word”, hitting at least four three-pointers on Friday and showing up on the road.
