Indiana basketball shuts down UNC & more Hoosier takeaways in big win
#1. Trey Galloway was the difference maker the Hoosiers needed
Trey Galloway, you are the man!
Galloway came off the bench after a two-game absence and, boy, did the Hoosiers need him. From hassling Caleb Love and R.J. Davis on defense and finishing fast break contested layups, Galloway was all over the floor and seemingly took Miller Kopp’s minutes most of the game.
Galloway tallied 11 points on 5-for-7 from the field, adding three rebounds, two assists, and a steal in his 23 minutes off the bench. It’s more than just what shows up in the box score for Galloway. Trayce Jackson-Davis said it best:
"“Brings so much energy to our team… He just thrives off of it. He always guards the best guard. He’s always in their head… We call him ‘Crazy Man’ because that’s how he is on the defensive end.”"
The energy and passion he plays with every minute he’s out there could be the difference between Indiana winning and losing games this season.
