Another undefeated week for the Hoosiers means Indiana basketball finally enters the top 10 at No. 10 in the AP Top 25 poll for week 4.

Last week was one for the books, with six teams in the top 10 in Week 3 losing at least one game. The multi-team events and invitationals taking place all week caused chaos in college basketball and further proved that this season is completely up in the air with who will be the frontrunner to win the National Championship.

Finally, after starting the season 6-0 the Hoosiers have entered the top 10 and rank 10th in the AP Top 25 Polls. Unfortunately for Indiana basketball, they are no longer the highest-ranked Big Ten team in the polls — Purdue (No. 5).

No. 5 Purdue had a very impressive week with wins over West Virginia (80-68), No. 6 Gonzaga (84-66), and No. 8 Duke (75-56). Three double-digit victories over two major conference teams and Gonzaga, who was one of the primary favorites to win it all this season.

Along with Indiana (No. 11 to No. 10), three other college basketball teams went from ranked in the top 25 to the top 10 after week 3 — Arizona (No. 14 to No. 4), Purdue (No. 24 to No. 5), and UConn (No. 20 to No. 8).

After the Big Ten had six teams in the AP Top 25 last week, the conference returns six teams yet again, despite Iowa (No. 25) dropping out. The Big Ten rankings in Week 4 go as follows: No. 5 Purdue, No. 10 Indiana, No. 16 Illinois, No. 20 Michigan State, No. 22 Maryland, and No. 25 Ohio State.

Pertaining to the Hoosiers’ future non-conference opponents, luckily both Arizona (No. 4) and Kansas (No. 9) still rank in the top 10, yet No. 1 North Carolina dropped two games against unranked Iowa State and then-ranked No. 18 Alabama and have dropped to No. 18 for Week 4.

No. 10 Indiana basketball will take on No. 18 North Carolina on Wednesday this week, in what will be the final ACC-Big Ten Challenge for the Hoosiers. Can the Hoosiers pull out their first Top 25 win of the season on Wednesday night in Bloomington?
