#3. Jalen Hood-Schifino continues to stay aggressive as he’s still figuring out college defenses

In the first two college games of his career, Hood-Schifino attempted 12 attempts and shot 41.7 percent from the field with five turnovers. In his three games following, JHS has attempted 34 shots and has shot 35.3 percent from the field with seven total turnovers.

If Hood-Schifino is aggressive, it will only benefit the Hoosiers, in the long run, this season, especially if Trayce Jackson-Davis has more days where he can’t play and Xavier Johnson isn’t playing his smartest self.

Though the mistakes are happening as a result of his aggressiveness, Hoosier Nation shouldn’t expect anything else from a freshman point guard. Nevertheless, Hood-Schifino becomes the first Division I player to total 40+ points, 20+ assists, and 12 or fewer turnovers in his first career games since Scottie Barnes (Florida State — 2020-21), who is now a budding All-Star for the Toronto Raptors.
