After starting the season 3-0, Indiana basketball looks to take on Miami (OH) on Sunday in Indianapolis. This matchup comes just one day after a tough road victory.

The Hoosiers won on Friday on the road against Xavier, 81-79, and if you trusted my last best bet for the Xavier game, you would’ve lost $100. Oops! Definitely did not expect a high-scoring affair and thought Indiana could pull away by at least three points (which they could have if Xavier or Malik made their free throws). So far this season, I’m 2-for-3 on betting tips and looking to go 3-for-4.

No. 12 Indiana basketball vs. Miami (OH) best bet: Indiana -27.5 & Over 148.5

My best bet for Indiana basketball taking on the Redhawks in Gainbridge Fieldhouse would be parlaying the Hoosiers’ -27.5 and over 148.5 combined points between the two teams.

Three bold predictions vs. Miami (OH). light. Must Read

A $100 parlay bet on Indiana -27.5 and over 148.5 points would potentially bring home a profit of $206.26. How about that for a Sunday afternoon?

I would take the Hoosiers to cover the -27.5 spread because the Hoosiers have won six of their last nine non-conference games against non-major conference teams by at least 30 points. In the two games against non-major conference teams this season, Indiana basketball has won by an average margin of 43.5 points per game. I’m betting on the Hoosiers to cover.

The reason I would bet the over 148.5 is that two of the three games this season have combined for 150 or more points. Indiana and Bethune-Cookman (150 points), along with the Hoosiers and Musketeers (160 points). The Indiana offense is flourishing behind Trayce Jackson-Davis and I don’t see that slowing down against the Redhawks on Sunday.

My initial prediction for the matchup between the Hoosiers and Redhawks had Indiana dominating with an 82-69 win. I’m going to balloon Indiana’s scoring in this game and give them the edge with a 91-59 win over Miami (OH).

Trust me or don’t trust me. The Hoosiers are coming out of this game hopefully 4-0!
