Through the first four games this season, Mekhi Lairy is leading the Redhawks in scoring and scored a career-high against Georgia on November 14. Lairy posted 34 points on 10-for-18 (55.6 percent) shooting and 4-for-7 (57.1 percent) from deep, but did total six turnovers against the Bulldogs.

In Lairy’s last three games against major conference opponents, he is averaging 23.0 points on 46.9 percent shooting and 3.0 made threes per game, along with 3.3 turnovers. Lairy has never played a neutral site game against a major conference team but is averaging just 8.4 points in his eight neutral site games in his career.

Lairy can go off at any moment, and Xavier Johnson and Jalen Hood-Schifino need to be able to analyze his game prior to Sunday to be able to win comfortably in Indianapolis on Sunday afternoon.
