On Saturday, November 12, Indiana football kicks off Week 11 against No. 2 Ohio State, hoping for a miracle in Columbus to snap a six-game losing streak.

The Buckeyes and Hoosiers have met 13 times over the past 13 seasons, with Ohio State winning each of those games and carrying a 27-game winning streak against Indiana football into Saturday.

The most recent matchup between the Hoosiers and the Buckeyes resulted in a 54-7 domination by then-ranked No. 5 Ohio State in 2021. Let’s forget about that game for a second.

One of the best games Indiana has played against Ohio State over the past 30 seasons came in 2020. The Hoosiers fell to the Buckeyes, 42-35 in Columbus when Ohio State was ranked No. 3 and Indiana was ranked No. 9 in the country.

2020 was clearly a fluke of a season for the Indiana football program, and since that loss to Ohio State, the Hoosiers are 7-17 (.412). After beginning this 2022 season undefeated at 3-0, Tom Allen has not been able to right the ship after losing six straight games.

Guarantee it won’t happen in this game against the best team in the nation.

Indiana football vs. No. 2 Ohio State prediction

The Indiana football program has not beaten a ranked Ohio State team since beating the No. 9 Buckeyes on October 10, 1987, 31-10. Since then, the Hoosiers have lost 27-straight games and have been within one touchdown in a game against Ohio State just five times in those 27 straight losses.

Before the season, my final game-by-game predictions before the season began had Indiana football falling to the Buckeyes 45-14. Unfortunately for the Hoosiers, I don’t think they can score more than one touchdown against this incredibly impressive Ohio State defense.

This game is over by the end of the first quarter, unfortunately, expecting a 21-0 start for the Buckeyes.
