#1. Jalen Hood-Schifino needs time to adjust his shot, but everything else is next level as a freshman

Hood-Schifino recorded eight points, five rebounds, eight assists, two steals, and three turnovers in 28 minutes. The five-star freshman struggled with his shot, shooting just 2-for-8 from the field and 0-for-5 from beyond the arc. But don’t overreact.

Coming out of Montverde Academy, Hood-Schifino was not expected to be an unreal scorer and shooter at the college level. He definitely needs to improve in that area to be considered a potential NBA draft pick, but look at the other areas of his game to give you a better idea of his impact on the floor.

Through the first two games of his COLLEGE CAREER, Jalen Hood-Schifino leads all players in an Indiana basketball uniform in minutes (55), assists (12), free throw attempts (12), and steals (three). Along with that, Hood-Schifino has a plus/minus of +62, which is the best on the team through the first two games — next closest is Tamar Bates at +59.

The scoring will come for Hood-Schifino, but have fun watching this guy make the smartest decisions on offense and on the fast break as the Hoosiers look to have a whole lot of fun this season.
