#2. Dexter Williams II starts at QB after the first half & totals two touchdowns

Last week, I predicted that Dexter Williams II would make an appearance and I wish Tom Allen and the Indiana football program would have listened to me. Facing one of the worst teams in the Big Ten, Connor Bazelak totaled 210 passing yards on 24 completions and threw an interception. 73 of his 210 yards came on the first drive of the game, while Bazelak could only put together 25 total passing yards in the second half before the Hoosiers’ last drive of the game.

“You’ll have to wait until Saturday to see who our starting QB is going to be.”

Tom Allen said the following after a reporter asked about who would be starting at quarterback this weekend against Penn State, even though it’s been shown through pre-game notes that Bazelak will be under center at the beginning of the game.

Williams II should have made an appearance in the game to give him a chance to shine in a “no-pressure” situation. If we win, great. We lose, too bad. Get somebody else in there that can make a difference for this below-average offense. Fully expecting Indiana football to be losing by multiple touchdowns at halftime with under 10 points scored by the offense, which would be the perfect opportunity for Williams II to get a chance.
