Big Ten Power Rankings: Hoosiers close to last after Week 9
Last game: 26-9 loss vs. #17 Illinois
Next game: Nov. 5 vs. Minnesota
The Cornhuskers scored one touchdown this past weekend against the stout Illini defense, a 56-yard touchdown throw from Casey Thompson to tight end, Travis Vokolek. Besides that one play, Nebraska was a huge disappointment at home against a top-25 team. Just 60 rushing yards and four turnovers in the game, the Huskers had no chance to take down the red-hot Fighting Illini.
With a 30-23 loss in 2021, Nebraska has lost three straight games against Minnesota for the first time since 1954 and is hoping to avoid dropping another home game. Since 2011, the Cornhuskers have battled the Golden Gophers six times when both teams are unranked and Nebraska has lost four of those six games by 18.5 points per game. Might be a lot of the same in 2022.
