Indiana basketball: Trey Galloway is a difference maker for Hoosiers
With nine days left in our player countdown of the Indiana basketball roster until tipoff, the next Hoosier on our list is a sophomore guard/forward, Trey Galloway, who is a potential difference-maker for IU this upcoming season.

In his second season at Indiana, Galloway started only three games but continued to be an X-factor in games with his energy and length. The sophomore slasher tied his career-high with 13 points against Northwestern in his first start of the season.
Although it was evident how important Galloway was for the Hoosiers last season, Indiana was 0-2 when he played 30 or more minutes and he played just 20 total minutes in the two NCAA Tournament games.
Galloway has dealt with injuries since he came to Bloomington in 2020-21, but it seems as though he is healthy coming into this upcoming season, which is a big positive for the bench unit as they build around Jordan Geronimo and Tamar Bates.
As the eighth or ninth man off the bench for Mike Woodson, Galloway has an opportunity to be one of the more impactful bench players in the Big Ten this season, making plays happen in his minutes played.
One thing is for certain, Galloway will bring energy and passion every single time his number is called and when he steps foot on the floor representing the Indiana basketball program. He may see a drop in scoring average because of the talent around him, but his shot should be improved and he will be a menace on the defensive side of the ball.
