Last game: 35-24 loss @ Wisconsin
Next game: Nov. 5 vs. Iowa

Purdue fell to Wisconsin, 35-24, snapping their four-game winning streak and losing their second conference game of the season. Despite competing in all of their games this season and making things interesting, the Boilermakers don’t have the defensive presence to hang with the top teams in the Big Ten. Aidan O’Connell totaled 320 passing yards and three interceptions on Saturday, while Devin Mockobee carried the ball 23 times for 108 yards and a touchdown. Not enough to push the Boilermakers ahead of the Badgers.

Heading into a bye week fresh off of a loss hurts, but it’s time for Purdue to reset before going into the “bulk” of their schedule, facing Iowa and Illinois in consecutive weeks. The Boilermakers lead the all-time series against Iowa, 50-39-3, winning four of the last five. Unfortunately for Purdue, they have lost five of the last eight games against Iowa when both teams are unranked. It’ll be a battle of a high-powered offense (Purdue) and a stout defense (Iowa) in Week 10.
