Last game: 24-17 win vs. Indiana
Next game: Oct. 29 @ Minnesota

Rutgers found a way to win against Indiana after trailing 14-0 at the end of the first quarter. They fought and battled their way back in this homecoming weekend game that meant so much to Scarlet Knight fans. Samuel Brown V is the real deal, with 101 rushing yards on 28 carries and a touchdown.

Yet again, the Rutgers defense showed its grit and came up with stops when needed, and was able to keep the Scarlet Knights offense on the field with more chances to win games. This was no “season turnaround” type of game, especially coming against Indiana, but it’s a step in the right direction for Rutgers football.

Now the Scarlet Knights take on Minnesota after they got pounded by Penn State last weekend. In their two all-time meetings, the Golden Gophers have won both, winning in 2019 by 35 points and in 2016 by just two points. It’s leaning more toward the 2019 meeting with an angry Minnesota football team and a Rutgers team happy to get another win.
