Next game: Oct. 22 vs. Indiana

Rutgers was in need of a bye week and they got it last week. After a week off following a frustrating Friday night loss to Nebraska, the Scarlet Knights welcome losers of four straight games for homecoming weekend in Piscataway this Saturday.

For the Scarlet Knights to have a chance to win this weekend and in the coming weeks, Evan Simon needs to perform at a high level, along with the consistency of Samuel Brown V. Brown V has rushed for 60+ yards three times this season, but has only reached the endzone twice and averages 4.7 yards per carry. After this home game against the Hoosiers, Rutgers takes on Minnesota on the road, #4 Michigan at home, Michigan State on the road, and #16 Penn State at home. This might be the last opportunity for a win for the Scarlet Knights this season.

With a win this weekend, Rutgers would move ahead the Hoosiers in the Power Rankings!
