Last game: 41-17 loss @ #5 Michigan
Next game: Oct. 22 vs. Minnesota
If you can believe it, Penn State was winning 17-16 against #4 Michigan on the road early in the third quarter. Obviously, the Nittany Lions did not score again the entire game and ended up getting handled easily by the rushing attack of Blake Corum and Donovan Edwards. The 418 rushing yards allowed by Penn State is the first time the team has allowed 400+ rushing yards in a game since 2017 (Michigan State, 400 rushing yards).
Penn State now looks ahead to its game against Minnesota, hoping to come away with a win and clinch a bowl game, despite having to take on #2 Ohio State in just two weeks. The Nittany Lions have won three straight home games against Minnesota since 2005.
